Hello there! I'm Jasper and I'm a big love!

Yes, I am a big guy, weighing around 95 lbs, but I could also stand to lose five to ten pounds. Either way, my heart is just as big my braun and I will be so happy to find my furever family. I'm currently in foster care because my human mom passed away and there was no one left to care for me. I'm a gentle giant and can be a big baby when it comes to thunderstorms, do I have my very own thunder shirt that helps me stay calm. It really works for me! I have kids in my foster home and they're pretty great. However, the cat is not. I would rather chase the cat and, of course, she doesn't like that very much. So, if you have room for a big guy like me and would like to see if I'm a good fit for your family, don't wait! Fill out an application for me so we can get this thing rolling! Love always, Jasper

~Our adoption fees not only help the animal being adopted, but they also help to cover heartworm treatments and other treatable ailments that many animals, that would otherwise be euthanized, need to be made available for adoption.~

Thank You for choosing to adopt.

About Rural Animal Rescue Effort (RARE)

About Our Rescue Group...

Rural Animal Rescue Effort (RARE) is an organization that is dedicated to saving animals in rural areas, mainly in 'pounds' and shelters, both high-kill and no-kill. There tends to be a higher overpopulation rate in rural areas due to lack of animal ordinances and alteration to prevent unwanted litters. Many animals are 'dumped' on country roads left to parish or end up at the local pound or animal shelter if they have an empty kennel. Many of these animals have a limited number of days before they are euthanized. In addition to placing animals in foster and adoptive homes, networking with rescues to assist in placement and adoption of animals, RARE also performs fundraisers for spay/neuters and other vetting to prevent further overpopulation and promote quality of life for the animals we save.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We have an adoption event this Saturday, June 11th, 2016 at Petsmart in Brentwood. Stop by and see us and several adoptable pets!
