Marley's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Marley's Story...
Marley is a 3 year old Chihuahua mixture that is available for adoption. He enjoys and loves being with people. He is happy as he can be around folks. His foster said he is laid back, ignores the cats, 95% housebroken it appears and good with the other dogs. He is quite remarkable, if he wants to see you - he will jump right over a baby gate to come visit you (maybe there is some JRT in that mixture?) He is still somewhat new to our rescue so as soon as we get more updates, we will provide right away! Marley is up to date on all medical and ready for adoption now.

We recommend and encourage you to complete an application at http://henricohumane.org/adopt/application-for-dogs/ before coming to our next adoption event. To find out if I will be attending our next adoption event, please email dogs@henricohumane.org.

Adoption events are every Saturday, excluding holidays, at the Petco located at 11331 W. Broad Street, Glen Allen, VA (next to Trader Joe’s) from 11:00am to 2:00pm.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Marley, a Richmond Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
