My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Aurora is a Maine Coon-mix, female, 3 years of age.

Underneath all of Aurora’s big fluffiness is a kitten-like personality waiting to be unleashed. She absolutely loves to play, quickly losing track of anything else when a string or mouse is dangled in front of her.

Like most long-haired cats, she loves to be brushed. In fact she’s most expressive with her affection when being stroked and when having her coat brushed, purring loudly and softly meowing her gratitude.

Confident and happy-to-around, Aurora enjoys her own space and will appreciate an area to call her own, like a window perch or tower. She loves to be near family members and watch the goings-on of the household.

Aurora is best suited as an indoor pet and companion for a home with a low to moderately-active lifestyle.

As with all Monroe SPCA adoptable cats, a home visit will be required prior to adoption.

Aurora currently resides at Monroe SPCA’s Adoption Center and Resale Store/The Fur Factory. You can meet her Tuesday – Friday, 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm, Saturday 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm, or by appointment; closed Sunday, Monday, and National Holidays.

All Monroe SPCA cats available for adoption have an adoption fee of $75.00. This fee includes the cat being spayed or neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, and micro-chipped prior to adoption.
