Facts about Sadie

  • Breed: Black Mouth Cur Mix
  • Color: Tan/Yellow/Fawn - With White
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Female
Sadie is a sweet, gentle dog, affectionate dog. She's a 38 pound Black Mouth Cur who is sweet and lovable. She just wants to be wherever you are.

She had a rough past. She was locked up outside her entire life, and dumped in the shelter when she got pregnant. When no other rescues stepped up and she was getting ready to have her babies in the shelter, Florida Urgent Rescue (FUR) pulled her and got her into a foster home.

She had her babies the very next day. She is a great mama and takes good care of them, but the babies are weaned and ready to go to their own homes. She will be spayed and vaccinated as part of our vetting program.

Sadie is extremely sweet and quiet. Perhaps because of her rough past, she's VERY grateful to be indoors sleeping in a warm bed in a loving home. She's an all around good dog. She's not too sure about other dogs... she seems fine with low energy, gentle dogs, but she gets nervous around dominant dogs. Sadie will make someone a wonderful best friend!

About Florida Urgent Rescue Inc

About Our Rescue Group...

Our mission is to dramatically improve the lives of shelter and rescue animals, to assist in urgent rescue situations and to implement resources to help in the aid of these animals. We rescue from death row at high kill shelters and help them have happy lives in their furever homes.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Please note: We are not a shelter. We do not have a kennel or facility that you can visit and see all the Animals. Each Animal is fostered in an individual home. So, you cannot come visit our animals until you have gone through the application and brief phone interview process and then we will schedule a meet and greet with the animal and their foster parents. Then the next step would be a 1 week sleepover, so before finalizing we can all make sure it's a perfect fit. We are all volunteers and do this in our spare time, we do not have set "hours" and we answer all calls and emails as quickly as we can. Thank you so much for your interest in our FUR Babies!

Our Adoption Process...

We require a written application, references and a home check prior to adoption. If you're interested in a foster-to-adopt, we are very flexible.
