Zoey's Story...
I was bought at PetSupermakert with another rabbit and I was not separated. I had my first kit when I was just a kit myself. I had a second litter less than one month later 5 kits all of which died because I wasn't nursing them. I was subsequently spayed and my oldest kit was recently weaned. I was surrendered to the rescue because we were breeding out of control and the owner was in the middle of relocating. am not the tidiest rabbit but I am getting better since I have been spayed. I am a tiny bit on the shy side.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zoey, a Wilmington Lionhead was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Lionhead for sale in Wilmington, or seeking a Lionhead from a breeder in Wilmington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wilmington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wilmington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Lionhead breeders who help with Lionhead rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wilmington paves the way for another one to be saved.
