Smokey's Story...
Meet Smokey!!! He is approximately 6 years old , 11 pounds, and heartworm negative!!! This little fellow has had a hard few years... His original owners passed away and he was then given to one of the adult children. Unfortunately either he wasn't happy or they were not prepared to care for him so he was allowed to wander. When he came to me he drooled for hours and every time he felt stressed. I could tell this was a long term issue because he had skin issues where his lips and chin stayed wet all the time. I am happy to report he doesn't drool anymore as long as he lives in my bedroom! He gets stressed with more than two or three small dogs. Smokey is pee pad trained and has never marked my house in the three weeks he has been with me. He is a pure delight. He loves to snuggle and is quite playful. He will need a fenced yard and a quiet home.

He is up for adoption through Swampy Paws and his adoption fee is $150 which includes all vaccinations, dewormer, flea/heartworm prevention, heartworm test, vet check and neuter.

A fenced yard and home visit are REQUIRED to adopt.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Smokey, a Killian Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Killian, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Killian.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Killian already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Killian breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Killian paves the way for another one to be saved.
