Introducing Allie the "Dream" dog. She has perfect manners and only wants to please. Allie's owner passed away, leaving her behind, with no family that could help. Allie is apprx 7 years old, she is a Boxer-pit bull mix. Her soft, happy energy is contagious and she will make a phenomenal companion, especially for someone struggling with depression or PTSD. She is mellow, low maintenance and a joy to own. Allie is the perfect blend of playful pooch and cuddly couch potato. Her favorite things are sunbathing and playing ball in the yard. She loves to stay cool in the baby pool and running through the sprinkler with the kids. It is fun to watch her try to bite the streams of water :)

Allie prefers to be the only pet in the home...but guaranteed she is all you will need. She is a true and devoted "people" dog and will provide a lucky family with endless love and laughs! Allie is about 50 lbs, spayed and fully vetted.

Allie is waiting for a special person to comprehend how amazing she is and give her a chance. We know if you come and meet her....she will grab your heart and never let go !! Allie's situation is urgent...she will be losing her temporary home and will soon have nowhere to go. Please share Allie's story with someone that may have lost their dog or needs a best friend. She will give someone a reason to smile everyday!

Potential adopters must agree to home visit and adoption contract to ensure Allie goes to a safe and loving home.

About Foster Parents for Pooches

About Our Rescue Group...

Foster Parents For Pooches is a 501(c)3 non-profit dog rescue group established in 1994. We are a small network of volunteers that rescue and rehabilitate homeless dogs from the streets of Cleveland, Ohio. We also save dogs from local shelters and take them into our foster homes, oftentimes within hours of being euthanized. In recent years we’ve been rescuing cats/kittens too. We take care of all medical needs, provide training as needed, and find them loving families. We also work with people who give up their pets, for whatever reason, by giving appropriate advice on placement and listing their pet on our website.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Come visit our adoptable animals by appointment! You can meet our animals in a comfortable home environment.

Our Adoption Process...

Please note: You must be at least 28 years old to adopt a dog from us - unless you are able to demonstrate a mature lifestyle. We are not able to adopt to renters, sorry!

Adoption fees typically range from $100-$200 and are used to pay for spay/neuter, vaccinations, flea & heart worm medicine, vet expenses and supplies for our rescues.

The prospective owner must agree to a screening process that includes an application, phone interview, pre/post adoption home visits and the signing of an adoption contract. Our goal is to find the best match for our dogs and their new families, so that everyone lives happily ever after.

We prefer homes who want to go to an obedience class. Training strengthens the bond and trust that you have with your dog, and it's fun, for both of you! Dogs like to think and to be mentally challenged. Contrary to what many people think, they don't want to be couch potatoes. The training you do together will be an investment in the future.

For more information please email. We will respond within 12-24 hours. Please be patient, we all have full time jobs and are busy with other rescue matters.

Thank you!
