My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cookie is a gorgeous, friendly, active, animated and docile, six-pound, 14-month-old, female Himalayan/California-mix rabbit looking for a loving guardian.

Cookie is super-soft and wonderful to hold and pet. She’s been raised with children (best with animal-loving kids over the age of nine.) She is extremely healthy, spayed and ready for adoption. Cookie can be bonded with a male rabbit or is good on her own with a lot of attention from her human family.

She is very social and fun. She comes running to you when you enter the room. Perhaps it helps that I always hand feed a treat; a bite of apple, carrot, banana, or pear goes a long way towards befriending a bunny. She eats a diet of unlimited Timothy hay and a big salad of fresh greens twice a day.

She has always lived indoors and has never been caged or hutched. She uses a litter box and stays in an exercise pen with tubes to run through and things to jump on. She is accustomed to cat and gentle dog visitors. All her current necessary supplies are available too including exercise pen, hay, litter, litter box, water bowl and tubes, so you don’t need to buy anything in advance if you’re considering adopting this beautiful rabbit. The supplies are available for $75.

Cookie’s adoption fee of $75 benefits rescued pets. To meet and possibly adopt her, please contact Sheri at sheri@petraits.com or 773-777-2891. She is currently being fostered in Chicago’s Andersonville neighborhood.
