My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet GRISSOM in Rhode Island
We do not transport dogs out of the area. We ask that you live within 50 miles of the dog's location. We are an all volunteer organization and can only respond when a completed application is filed. We do list our requirements, so please read carefully. . All dogs are adopted through contract.

WE DO REQUIRE A FENCE for Grissom as he is used to being outside. 3/4 fencing is NOT A FENCE
"E-FENCING" IS OK if only used when you are home.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME SENDING AN INQUIRY...file an applications...inquiries are rarely answered. We tell you all we know in our descriptions.

Meet Grissom in Rhode Island. He is about 25 lbs and 9 months old., completely vetted with full history since puppyhood. We have listed him as a BEARDED COLLIE/POODLE only to give you a visual of what he looks like. Since he is a rescue, we are unsure of his exact breed. This is a good guess. He is one gem of a dog packed with puppy energy! Sweet, loving, happy go lucky and likes to stay close to his human. Today I took him to a rural area to play off leash with other dogs, people and children and he did GREAT ! Each time I called him to come, he would stop and run over to me. He does get along with all sizes of dogs and seems less interested in cats. He will require regular grooming and that can be expensive, so you must be prepared for that as well as basic training. He would not be a good candidate to be left home all day while you are at work because he is a real people dog. When left alone here at his foster's home, he has other dogs and a dog door and he does fine. Eventually, when he is older, being left alone probably would be fine, but now, we think not.
