Rio used to be a scared dog, but with the help of fosters and his animal friends, he is quickly becoming socialized and happy. He remains a bit shy and requires slow and patient adult interaction. Rio has been trained in a household with 4 rescue cats and interacts very well with all of them. He loves to be outside on walks. Although he is only 14 pounds he can, and will jump high fences. Rio is definitely at his best when he is together with at least 1 other dog.
Shelter Hope Pet Shop was created to aid shelter pet adoptions, promote education and bring awareness to the communities we serve. We rely on the community for assistance, donations and volunteers.
We are a non-profit volunteer-based pet shop that showcases shelter animals available for in-store adoption. We find homes for the many shelter and rescue animals in need. All sales of merchandise in our pet shop goes directly back to help save more animals.
