Hi, my name is August. Thank you for visiting my webpage and please allow me to tell you a little about myself. I was rescued from a very bad owner that kept me locked up in a crate all day and all night, every single day. I was never allowed out! I am not sure why because I am a good boy! I like everyone I meet including kids, dogs and cats! I am crate trained and house trained and I am super smart. I can sit, stay, lay down and shake both hands. I need to work on my leash skills a bit but I am a quick learner especially if treats are involved. I am about 5 years old and I am a lower energy guy. I prefer to just lay around in the house, wherever you put my bed, that's where I'll be! I like to run in the yard just a little bit, but I can, and I will, climb out of a chain link fence. My foster mom says that farm fencing, privacy fencing, a tie out or invisible fencing is what is needed to keep me at home. As you can see from some of my pictures, I started out with a hard life but I am as happy as can be now and I have been searching for my forever family for a long time! My foster mom says that I am neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested negative and on preventative as well as up to date on all of my shots. She says that I am ready for my forever home so if you are interested in meeting me, please fill out my application. If you have any questions about me please contact my foster mom at email@example.com and she will get back to you right away! I hope to hear from you soon!
All STAR animals come vetted, Up to Date (UTD) on age appropriate shots and testing, spay and neutered (if of age,) and microchipped.
Please fill out an adoption application and start the process for your new family member!
AGE DISCLAIMER: Unfortunately, most of the orphaned animals that come into our rescue looking for homes don’t bring birth certificates. Sometimes we know our pets’ ages. Sometimes we don’t. So we make our best guess based on the condition of their teeth and the veterinarians best guess. BREED DISCLAIMER: Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label . Microchips: For the safety of our dogs and peace of mind of our fosters and adopters, STAR microchips all dogs prior to adoption with Petlink Microchips. Please understand that all dogs MUST still wear a collar with ID tags (which include your current information) AT ALL TIMES. Please remember, our foster dogs are extremely important to us-- we will always take any of our dogs back, if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog. Never surrender him/her to a shelter!
