Sasha (Spayed)'s Story...
"Sasha" is a lovely young adult female kitty who arrived the HSOV on June 15, 2016 along with her best friend and former housemate ("Sophie") after their family moved and 'forgot' to take them along :( "Sasha" has a brown tabby short smooth coat, a long ringed tail, and a beautiful triangular-shaped face with hopeful, trusting golden eyes. "Sasha" has a sweet, gentle disposition and was quite the lady when we took preliminary glamour photos in her cage shortly after her arrival. This little sweetheart weighs 6.2 lbs. "Sasha" was given vaccinations and wormer on June 15, 2016. She was combo tested on June 23, 2016 and is negative for feline leukemia, FIV, and heartworm. NOTE: When Sasha was brought to our shelter, she was keeping a secret (which she is now sharing with everyone) .. Sasha had four 2-week old kittens which had also been left behind when her family moved :( Fortunately she was reunited with them the following day when a very compassionate landlord found them and rushed them to the shelter to be with their mother. "Sasha" was combo tested on June 23, 2016 and is negative for feline leukemia FIV, and heartworm. She and her kittens went to a fantastic foster home on June 25, 2016. UPDATE: Sasha's kittens (Chocolate Chip, Snickerdoodle, Gingersnap, and Gum Drop) have been weaned and are nearly ready to find homes of their very own. "Sasha" was spayed on August 31, 2016 and was also given rabies vaccine.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sasha (Spayed), a Marietta Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
