Heather's Story...

Meet Heather!
Heather is a beautiful siamese female kitten. Her mom was feral, and unfortunately also tested positive for FIV. Kittens born to FIV positive mothers are at low risk for infection, although they have initially tested positive due to the presence of maternal antibodies. These kittens will continue to carry the antibodies until they are 6 months old so until then we must seek a home with no other felines. Heather and her siblings are very sweet and social and deserving of a loving furever home!

Heather is:
Up-to-Date on Vaccines (Distemper and Rabies)
FeLV/FIV Tested (currently FIV+ and will be retested at 6 months)

Adoption Fee: $125

Furever Tails is a non-profit, no-kill, foster home based animal rescue based out of Oakland Township, MI. Our foster animals are living in our foster homes and treated like family until they find their own furever family. Our adoption process requires an application to be completed and approved before a meet-n-greet with the animal can take place. Adoption fees are necessary to help us cover vetting costs for our rescued animals.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Heather, a Oakland Siamese kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Siamese for sale in Oakland, or seeking a Siamese kitten from a breeder in Oakland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oakland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oakland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Siamese breeders who help with Siamese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oakland paves the way for another one to be saved.
