If you're looking to truly rescue a dog, please take the time to read WILBUR's story. He is part of a bonded pair (see WALDO also). WILBUR was picked up as a stray this past winter. We're sure due to his age, he was passed over again and again for adoption but we couldn't resist that face. WILBUR is 10+ years old and weighs 30 lbs. His buddy, WALDO, we think, is his son at the ripe young age of 7 or 8. We didn't have them in the car for a minute when the stench of rotten teeth didn't get to us. Next stop - the vets. WILBUR is now a much happier dog. Almost every tooth in his mouth was abscessed and the only thing to do was remove them - all but 2! This doesn't impair his ability to eat and it sure did a lot to get that tail wagging. He's one happy old man now and looking for that wonderful forever home that will pamper him, and his friend WALDO.
