Posey's Story...
My name is Posey and I'm a shy little chihuahua terrier mix. I'm 6 months old and am 6 pounds. Where my brother Clive is a bold explorer, I am more quiet and meek. I'll need a patient family to help me grow in confidence and learn that the world is a fun place! Right now, my leash scares me so I'm not huge fan of walks. Crates freak me out, but some training and patience will help me learn how cool it is to have a safe space. I am quiet and shy around kids so it is extra important for kids to know how to behave around me. I am great with other dogs and cats. I do like to be playful with toys and chew on my bones like a good puppy. I really like to snuggle with my people, too! I am up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and spayed. My adoption fee is $200. Email rescueofhope@gmail.com for an application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Posey, a Grand Rapids Chihuahua puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Grand Rapids, or seeking a Chihuahua puppy from a breeder in Grand Rapids.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grand Rapids already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grand Rapids breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grand Rapids paves the way for another one to be saved.
