Jo-Jo's Story...
Jo-Jo 21lb, 8 years old,  Male, Black Cockapoo
Joe is extraordinarily well-mannered, sweet and gentle. He is a fast walker and doesn’t pull on the leash when out for a stroll except if a squirrel or bird comes into view.  Joe is good with other dogs. He likes all of the folks and children that he sees on walks. We were told he just ignore cats.  Joe does not like being alone and he voices his disapproval, so he would prefer a family who is home much of the time and who has a house.  Joe knows the commands for “sit” and “lay down”.

Dogs are vaccinated, microchipped  and spayed/neutered before adoption. The necessary first step to inquire about any dog, is to complete the NCPR Adoption Interest Form. Once we receive the NCPR Adoption Interest Form, a volunteer will contact you promptly. We need your information to match you with the perfect companion. NorCal Poodle Rescue places dogs within northern California only.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jo-Jo, a Walnut Creek Poodle (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Poodle (Miniature) for sale in Walnut Creek, or seeking a Poodle (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Walnut Creek.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Walnut Creek already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Walnut Creek breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Poodle (Miniature) breeders who help with Poodle (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Walnut Creek paves the way for another one to be saved.
