Skippy is looking for a loving and loyal best friend! I helped rescue him, and I am his foster Mom, and I must say he is just about as sweet as can be. He is super-smart and funny, loves riding in the car, going on walks and eating yummy treats. Skippy is in Hendersonville, NC. This sweet pup loves cuddle time and playing with his foster dog siblings. He is a little too interested in the cat, who is staying in the guest room just to be safe. We are working with a trainer on walking on a leash; he gets very excited when he sees other dogs on leashes. I think he was a bait dog and associates the leash with being bitten by other dogs. My dogs play hard with him and he never, ever gets mad, even when the little one is barking in his face.

As an extra bonus, a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA) using Force Free methods will be available to the adopting family to help with Skippy’s transition to his forever home. The trainer is quite smitten with Skippy! Also, his foster Mom will help with walks, and if you need to go out of town, Skippy can always stay with us!

About Brother Wolf Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Brother Wolf Animal Rescue is known for their excellence in matching people with the best dog or cat that would suit their lifestyle. Today we are proud to have the largest NO-KILL shelter in Asheville. Brother Wolf Animal Rescue was established in 2006. We started off as a very small group of people, taking dogs and cats from gassing shelters in GA. We found wonderful homes for these animals but realized while we were saving these particular animals, we had a much bigger problem in our community that we needed to face. Perfectly healthy, highly adoptable animals in our community are being euthanized every day. Rescued pets are not broken or damaged goods. They are wonderful animals who have ended up homeless through no fault of their own.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our facility is located at 31 Glendale Avenue in Asheville, off Swannanoa River Rd, 1/2 mile from Lowe's. Open every day.

Our Adoption Process...

All adoptions will require a contract and discussions with one of our adoption counselors. Based on the needs of the particular animal, we reserve the right to require a home visit at the discretion of the adoption counselor. All our animals will be altered before adoption and up-to-date on standard vaccinations. We do collect an adoption fee.
