Here's what the humans have to say about me:
AXEL is a 7 year old neutered yellow male Lab who weighs 47 pounds. Axel is a handsome guy that is good with everyone he meets! He has had a rough couple of years and is looking forward to getting the love and attention he deserves! He is very sweet. No kid history so approved for kids 10 and up. He was good with the cats in his temporary home. He is good with dogs and needs to go to a home with another dog. Not approved for townhouses or apartments. He is an owner surrender to the shelter. He is approved for kids 10+. More info soon!
Update: From foster: Axel is doing great! He's settled in really nicely, gets along great with the other dogs, and the cats. He really does enjoy the company of the other dogs, and is always with the crowd. He's not nearly as nervous as he was initially. However Axel is still barking when we leave, but he's not destructive and settles down. He's just looking for company. Axel does walk nicely on a leash, but does not appear to know sit, although "stay" seems to be in there -- We'll see if we can teach him a few more basics. He does jump up a little bit, but doesn't counter surf, even though he makes it pretty clear that he's hungry and I'm not getting his dinner fixed fast enough. All in all, I think he's a real gem, he just needs a little bit of polish!
