Meet Oreo the Kitten. This beautiful boy came to PPFL with Jerry from the same household. Oreo tested positive for FeLV- feline leukemia virus. FeLV cats have a weakened immune system and may need support for colds and such. However there are cats that have lived a full life with the disease. Because FeLV is a social disease it is best for them to live in a house with no cats or with another FeLV cat, though they can live with other species, such as dogs or bunnies. In the five weeks he has remained healthy. He loves to spend time on the enclosed catio, playing with his cat toys, or sunning in the window in the late afternoon.
