MEET HARVEY!! **Please Note: This is a courtesy post for another rescue; different adoption fees/policy apply.

Harvey is a sweet dog that loves to play! He is a very fast runner and needs a few times throughout the day of active play. This can be swimming, playing fetch, running, etc. He doesn't have a lot of stamina, but once he tires himself out he is very calm and affectionate. Harvey enjoys curling up on the couch with people, giving kisses and laying on the floor near his owners. He is good with kids, although older children would be better since he can be high energy at times. But he is good with babies and will just occasionally give kisses. He does try to escape the front door when people leave, but mostly because he wants to come along. He loves going places and is an excellent traveller. He enjoys hikes too!

Harvey's favorite activity is fetching the ball in a pool or at the lake. He can swim for a very long time and really enjoys it. Harvey is used to having people at home with him throughout the day, so he would not be a good dog for someone who works all day. He also lives with a cat currently and they generally get along, but he does chase the cat at times and tries to play. He would do well as a single pet because he seems to get jealous easily.

Our Adoption Process...

All potential adopters will be required to complete our Adoption Application, read and sign our Adopting Policies and Procedures, and participate in a home visit by one of our adoption representatives. Our Adoption Application is located on our website: www.underdogaz.com.

We also have a mandatory two-week Foster With Intent to Adopt trial period for all animals in order to be certain the pet is a good fit for your family.

Our standard adoption fee for dogs is $200; puppies are $250.

Non-standard fees do sometimes apply. Puppies younger than six months may have a higher fee. Designer dogs, purebreds, and other toy type breeds may also have higher adoption fees than the standard $200.

We do, however, have discounted fees for dogs that are seniors, a pair of dogs adopted together, or cats. If you are a veteran or an active duty service member, please ask about our partnership with Pets For Patriots.

All Underdog pets are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped prior to adoption.

We are a 501c3 non profit, your donations save lives and are 100% tax deductible.
