Atticus very much enjoys the company of other dogs. He has not been tested with cats. He would do well with respectful children over the age of 7.
Atticus loves to dig holes and he is quite the champion hole digger.
Atticus is house trained but like all dachshunds he will need to be confident in his environment to have good potty habits. All rescue dogs go thru a period of adjustment so understanding and patience is important.
Atticus loves to play but can be just as happy sitting in your lap or cuddled up near you and chilling out. He very much enjoys ‘destuffing’ toys and rolling in them after he has completed the task! He is very well mannered and overall well behaved.
In his wonderful Georgia foster home, Atticus will tolerate a crate for a short time but does become stressed and will whine and complain if the door is closed for very long. He loves to sleep in the big bed, but he is very happy in his very own bed with his own blankie to snuggle in.
Handsome Atticus is waiting for his forever home. Are you the lucky one to welcome him to your family?
