I am already neutered, housetrained, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Winston's Story...
**PENDING ADOPTER**. Meet Winston. He's a an adult (possibly a senior) dog looking for a loving home. We think he's approx 8-9 yrs old and partially deaf. He looks like a Flat coat retriever mix. He has been neutered and has UTD vaccines. He was HW positive when we saved him and has been on slow kill treatment due to his age. He does great with other dogs, cats and children. He is very low maintenance and loves to sleep on his fluffy soft bed. He is crate-trained and doing great with house training. Please contact us for an Adoption Application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Winston, a Albemarle Flat-Coated Retriever/Newfoundland dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Flat-Coated Retriever/Newfoundland for sale in Albemarle, or seeking a Flat-Coated Retriever/Newfoundland dog from a breeder in Albemarle.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Albemarle already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Albemarle breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Flat-Coated Retriever/Newfoundland breeders who help with Flat-Coated Retriever/Newfoundland rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Albemarle paves the way for another one to be saved.
