If you want a fun boy to go around and be social, Luke is your boy!! He is young, handsome and full of puppy energy. However, he is very well mannered for his age. He is great with other dogs and can be left at home without any trouble. He is well adjusted for his age. Luke was scheduled to be euthanized a couple weeks ago and after an email to many Rescues we were the only ones to take him. At first we were worried about the fact that he could be difficult to handle and would need extensive training, then after looking at him behaving at the Shelter when we picked him up, all the worries went away. He is a great sweet and fun dog!!

Luke is a lucky boy. He has two foster parents. He splits is time between them. How fun is that!! Here is a note from his foster Mom Lindsey:
Hi Everyone, Luke here. You can call me Luke the Lover boy, because I’m one big lover. I’m about a year old, and haven’t had a lot of love in my life until now. So, I’m trying to make up for lost time. Sometimes I'm a little shy, but that doesn't last long. I warm up to new people pretty well. I’m about 35lbs, and gaining weight. My foster Mom thinks a good weight for me will be about 40 to 45lbs. I’m good in the house, but I don’t know a lot of manners yet, other then coming when I’m called and going outside. I’m working on sitting, off, and stay. My foster mom says I’m a fast learner. I love to go for walks and I’m good on the leash. I love, love, love other dogs. And I will run around with any dog that wants to run around and play. I’m also happy playing by myself. I’m a little timid, so if you have an aggressive dog, that won’t work for me. If you’re looking for a handsome, loving, young boy, that will be by your side, I’m the boy for you. Come see me and let me give you some of my love. Hope to see you soon. From is Foster Dad!! Luke is a very affectionate, fun, smart, well behaved companion. He is happy running with his dog friends at the dog beach or just quietly relaxing with his human friends. Luke has become a regular at the Bonita Dog Beach where his social side shines: he will visit every dog, then visit every person (accepting ear rubs and giving out dog kisses), check on any unattended picnic baskets then run and swim with his buddies. In addition to swimming, Luke enjoys boating, walks, jogging, car rides, belly rubs and napping. He is very well behaved in the house and never barks. He has become very confident and is no longer timid. Luke will make an excellent addition to any family.
