Hi ya, it’s me Eric and I’m glad to see you checking out my page! It’s great to meet you. I’m looking for a new family to call my own! Could it be you?

Here’s my stats:
Possible Breed: Lhasa Apso

Gender: I’m a boy dog

Colors: Handsome White and Brown

Age: The vet says about 8 years young

Weight: Around 18 pounds

Special Needs: Okay so, yes I am special. I came to Lone Star Rescue with a back injury so I can’t climb stairs or jump on and off sofas. And, I had heart worms. Unfortunately, even though I was successfully treated, my heart sustained damage that didn’t go away. So, I take 5 pills in the morning and 5 pills at night. I take them very well, wrapped in a treat. Some people would consider me too damaged to want to adopt me so I’m looking for a family or a person as special as I am!

Ideal Home: Since I get along with everyone, both male and female dogs, I can go into a home with other pets. Or I would be just fine as an only dog too, so I’m versatile.

Now for the good stuff!-
I’m a laid back kind of guy. I love to be with you and to be loved on you but I’m not a clingy guy. If you don’t have time, I can hang out happily by myself. I don’t really play with toys or go on long walks. But I can go on short, easy strolls. I am okay in a crate as long as you don’t leave me in there for a long time. Otherwise, I will bark at you to let you know, I’m all done being in a crate!

I am a sweet guy who is easy going and I prefer to be left alone while I eat. I drink a lot of water because of my medications and so I go out to potty a lot too. Maybe it’s a long shot but I’m hoping someone out there is just as special as I am and will adopt me soon!

If you’d like to ask more questions about me, email my foster mom at Start the process of adopting me or one of the other pups by filling out the application found at

PS. I've had ALL my vetting, and oh boy, it was a lot. Here's what I had done:
Distemper/Parvo shots – TWICE. One shot doesn't cut it.
Bordetella shots - ALSO TWICE.
Spay/Neuter-of course.
A fecal exam so I don't have any bad worms. Treatment if I do.
A heartworm test. Treatment if I am positive for heart worms
BLOODWORK to make sure my liver and kidneys are working well, because you know, we doggies often have issues in the liver and kidneys.
A DENTAL exam AND cleaning if I needed it- yep, all my toofies are checked out.
See, that's a LOT. Ask your vet - that's a LOT.
