My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

(ID #A28107184) Hi, my name is Cooper.

I am two year old bully breed mix. I first came to the shelter as a stray. A kind soul found me roaming the street trying to find food and shelter. I was brought to the shelter for my safety. I was adopted then picked up as a stray again. My owners never came to claim me. I was adopted again but sadly the family had personal issues and couldn't properly care for me. So I was brought back to the shelter.

The staff was told that I would do best in a household where I was the only pet. I have a high energy level and tend to play rather rough. I do know some of the basic commands. I like to play fetch and play with squeaky toys. I need a home that will provide me with regular exercise and play time!

At least here at the shelter I have my basic needs met, like food and water plus a roof over my head. However, I am longing to find my forever home and a family to love. I have plenty of love to give. Do you have room in your heart and your home for me?? Come and have a meet-n-greet with me.

I am a young lad at heart. I have been checked out by a veterinarian and neutered. I received a set of preventative shots and have been wormed. I have tested negative for heartworms. I have also been microchipped.

I am being sponsored by Sheltered Paws Dog Rescue. That means they are providing you with a getting started Goodie Bag when you adopt me. The bag contains a collar, leash, ID tag, training DVD, CD with helpful articles, booklet with training information, toy, and treats. You will receive a Rebate Certificate that can be used towards payment of a training course with the trainer of your choice. Sheltered Paws will rebate back to you a dollar value up to but not to exceed $100.00.

You can contact my friend, Kathie by emailing dog_picture@yahoo.com for more information on how I can become part of your family.

See you soon, COOPER.
