BIO:
Franklin is a 6.5 year old 14lb black and tan Senior Dachshund. Due to significant life changes, his current family is unable to keep him and have asked Oregon Dachshund Rescue, Inc. to help him find a new, loving, forever family, FRANKLIN loves to give hugs. When someone he loves is sitting on the couch, he will jump up on their lap, rest on their chest and put his paws on their shoulders. He also loves water! He will play for hours in a kiddie pool or will chase or bite at a garden hose or sprinkler.

ODR, INC. ADOPTION CRITERIA (aka Our Fine Print):
Based on 30 years of experience with rescue doxies, we have pretty strict criteria. Do you work from home/stay at home/work part time? Have a securely fenced yard? We do not place same gender dogs in a home unless they were raised together, and children need to be 12 or older (some exceptions IF the dog is a puppy or the child has been raised with a doxie). We prefer non smokers and a home with no other small animals (ferrets, hamsters, etc). Cats are on a case by case basis depending on the dog. Remember these are rescues, many were surrendered because of these issues.
