My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

There are many things in life in which we should be thankful for. My name is Hannah and I am thankful to be alive. A few days before my rescue I was hit by a car and my right back leg was shattered. I laid there for several days on the side of the road praying and hoping that someone would stop to help me. I was in agony and couldn’t move as I watched the cars go by. Each night I’d ask God to protect me from the sounds I’d hear in the woods, afraid I’d be prey for those to feast on my open wounds. Then on Thanksgiving Day 2015 my prayers were answered and God sent his angels my way. A nice man and his family were on their way to visit their grandmother in the country. While they were driving they missed their turn and in doing so they discovered me and called the rescue folks. So many kind humans big and small donated to help get my leg fixed and to help with my medical expenses. Thanks to them and Bienville Animal Medical Center, my leg is fixed and my heartworms are gone. I am ready to move on and have a family of my own. I’m a year old and weigh 50 pounds, not quite at my ideal weight but getting there. I like meeting new people and being involved in daily activities with my human friends. I like being a “little helper” after all I am a working canine. I’m curious by nature and like to check everything out. Some might say I’m a bit “nosy” but I don’t mind I make it my business to know what’s going on. I like going for car rides and playing with other canines. I’m an affectionate girl who can cuddle for hours. So if you’re looking for a loyal companion and a life-long partner, please visit the rescue’s website to complete an adoption application on me. You can also email foreverhome4dogs@aol.com for any additional information. Hope to hear from you soon, love Hannah.
