Rose Marie's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Rose Marie's Story...
Rose Marie is the cutest little approx 5 yr old schnauzer mix. She weighs 18 lbs and has the best personality. She gets along with all of the other dogs and loves to hang out in her doggie bed and watch the world go by. She has a great personality, lots of character, loves to eat and get treats and lots of attention, she seems to be fairly well leash and house trained and will make a great companion for someone. She tested positive for heart worms and has been treated with the required series of injections and we usually find that the dogs test clear in 4-6 months, she has also been started in a monthly heart worm preventative.

The total adoption cost of $475 includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, lepto, distemper and canine influenza, and micro chip with a lifetime pre paid registration . The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. All our dogs are in foster care, there is no physical shelter. Some have not yet arrived in PA.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rose Marie, a Allentown Schnauzer (Standard) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Schnauzer (Standard) for sale in Allentown, or seeking a Schnauzer (Standard) dog from a breeder in Allentown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Allentown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Allentown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Schnauzer (Standard) breeders who help with Schnauzer (Standard) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Allentown paves the way for another one to be saved.
