Lillian SOS's Story...
AVAIALBLE 06-14-16 This pretty Beagle was found by a local resident and brought to the Shelter. Since she's a stray, we don't know a lot about Lillian. We do know that she walks well on leash, she tested negative for heart worms, her shots are now current and she will be spayed and microchipped at adoption. We're thinking Lillian is about 5 years old, so she qualifies for our SOS (Save Our Seniors) Program which means if her adopter is age 55 or older her adoption fee is half. Although Lillian enjoys her Karunda bed here at the Shelter, we're sure she would enjoy a bed in your home even better; so come meet Miss Lillian, you might just decide to give her that bed (and home)..

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lillian SOS, a Elizabeth City Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Elizabeth City, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Elizabeth City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elizabeth City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elizabeth City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elizabeth City paves the way for another one to be saved.
