Cantaloupe is a shy, sweet, 3-year old girl that loves deeply. She is a little timid at first, but once she gets to know you she enjoys nothing more than being by your side. She is low energy, never barks and she is great medium-size at about 45lbs. Her favorite thing to do, other than follow you around, is curl up in her bed. Cantaloupe has done well with both cats and dogs. However, she does take some time to warm up with larger dogs. They seem to frighten her at first. Cantaloupe has been through a LOT. She was pulled from a kill shelter (right before she was to be euthanized) with a perviously broken leg that was never treated. Sadly she also was diagnosed with Heartworms. Cantaloupe completed Heartworm treatment. After her treatment was completed, our Angels vets had to amputate her leg. It is easy to tell Cantaloupe has not been treatled kindly, but she continues to show us nothing but love and her gentle nature. Will you be the person that finally gives her the home and life she deserves?
