LL Cool J's Story...
We've named him... LL Cool J (Get it? 'Cause he's super cute and licks his lips a lot!). The shelter told us he was 15 years old and found as a stray. While he is nowhere near 15, he is definitely a senior with not even one lonely tooth in this entire mouth. LL is heartworm positive (no surprise, as about 30-40% of our program at any given time is positive), but otherwise healthy! Long term followers of LWHA know that senior chihuahuas are our (*cough cough* okay, maybe MY) weakness, and this guy definitely doesn't disappoint. If you think LL is cute in his pics, you would be absolutely smitten seeing him in person. Goodness! I mean, he's just about the cutest 4.5 pounds on God's green Earth! <3 If you love seniors like we do--and we know you do--you better get an application in on this cutie patootie fast. Our other followers won't wait long to snatch this baby up!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

LL Cool J, a College Station Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in College Station, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in College Station.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in College Station already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a College Station breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in College Station paves the way for another one to be saved.
