Biryani's Story...
I’m a beautiful girl with lots of colors in my coat – sort of like the colorful Indian dish after which I’m named – Biryani. I’m a sweet girl who loves attention. Pick me up for kisses, and I’ll purr and purr. My foster daddy even picks me up and does “raspberries” on my belly, and I’ll purr for those, too. I like to be held or to sit on shoulders when folks are up and about. I love being up high, and you'll often find me on the highest shelf. When the foster parents are sleeping, I like to sleep on mommy or daddy’s chest. Just because I’m a girl, don’t think that means I can’t keep up with my brothers – or even the adult cats here in my foster home. They may be four times my size, but I’ve got a big spirit! And those crinkly ball toys - those are my favorite. I'll steal them from any cat! While my brother Masala is the chatty one, I keep the best secrets because I have a silent meow. I also have a super-thick, super-soft double coat. I’m the beautiful Biryani.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Biryani, a Aldie Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Aldie, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Aldie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aldie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aldie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aldie paves the way for another one to be saved.
