Hi! Meet Brawn. Brawn came to AAU when she was just 6 weeks old. Her foster mom and dad have been rehabbing and mobilizing her for 10 1/2 months. She is a 1 year old female boxer/terrier mix (we believe). Brawn was brought into the shelter with a spinal cord dysfunction which makes her have partial paralysis in her back. We are unsure if this is congenital or if someone stepped on her. I've never met a mightier, strong willed pup. She has such a strong core and front legs that I swear she could hang from a branch for a minute. She was even able to be taught to go up and down stairs. She is so happy and loves to play with kids, cats, and all dogs. A complete lover with not an ounce of meanness, she is a loyal pup. Happy to be alive and loves to give kisses all day long. She deserves the most special home. To us, she's perfect just the way she is. She's so wonderful. She was fitted for her wheel cart 4 months ago and has just LOVED being able to go on walks and play in the park like all the other doggies. A guaranteed loyal girl who always lives life with joy.
