My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

~adoption fee applies, if serious about adoption please email caarescue@gmail.com~

My name is Nike! I found myself being abandoned by my family of 3 years at an off island gas kill pound citing that they were leaving the country and could not take me with them.
I was very sad and very scared sitting there. Little did I know though that some kind volunteers were working with the CAA Rescue volunteers to place me in foster care. & then my time came! A volunteer transport person scooped me up one Saturday afternoon and brought me to my foster mama
Oh Boy oh boy! I was happy again!
I am a 3 years old smart, fun, agile and extremely high energy. I would need an active family who would also like to enroll me in doggie training classes and attend agility class to get out and play Frisbee, walking, hiking … you name it! I may be a small girl but don’t you worry about me for one second I can keep up

I am house trained and leash trained, I absolutely need to get out every single day and go for walks
I have an outgoing disposition – friendly with all I meet
I am you’re a-Typical Jack! I like to bark … not crazy mental bark but I am definitely no quiet mini miss! I have a sunny disposition that will bring a smile to your face every day, devoted and loving. Energetic but obedient, yet absolutely fearless. I enjoy games and playing with toys, sometimes I can hoard and guard the toys from the other dogs in the house so for these reason CAA Rescue volunteers will not be accepting application with children under the age of 12 in the home. I would not want to latch onto someone’s favorite toy never wanting to give it back! Or worse being forced to give it back ahhhh … one way or another someone would end up sad!
I have not been left alone for any length of time in foster care
I am dog friendly and people friend but I have not been around any cats. But I am going to go out on a limb here and say that I think it would be fun to chase them up trees barking at them
I can still be a little unsure of car rides… not knowing if you are taking me out for fun or dropping me off at a pound! I think that once I get used to a routine with my new family, feel love and gain my trust and confidence back with people that I could overcome this and enjoy car rides
I do know all my basic commands in French
At this time I should not be left off leash or in areas where I am not securely fenced in … so no well fenced in back yards will not be a good option for me as I am a mini escape artist and anytime I can get away from you in a split second I will. Could be that I am trying to get back to my previous family convinced they are just on the other side of the door or fence … or it could just be my nature. Only time with my new family will one be able to see how I respond after bonding to you
Foster family is loving having me in their home and they say I am just a pleasure to have around … even though I am you typical Parson Russell Terrier with a go-go-go personality I am not mental crazy and can settle down nicely while at home.
