Duke is a one-year-and-then-month-old Labrador mix who was originally surrendered to the shelter when he was only a little puppy because his owner did not have enough time to care for him. Fast forward almost two years and Duke is still at the shelter - quite inexplicably. This sweet boy, although timid at first, will warm up to you after a proper introduction and prove to be an affectionate and gentle companion. Duke is a versatile dog who enjoys playtime with a furry buddy just as much as he does a loving cuddle with his human. He is a chameleon who adapts well to the personalities of those he gets close to and is sure to charm all who meet him. The staff at the shelter describe him as calm, curious, playful, observant and most of all - DESERVING! All he needs is a family who will stay by his side and show him that true love is worth the wait!
