Hi, my name is Buddy. I am a Lab / Shepherd Mix (Maybe some Irish Woof hound as well), born in January 2005, and 80 lbs. I am native to Minnesota, my original owner was hospitalized, my sister (Sasha) and I were in the dog impound until we were ready for adoption. Luckily for us, WAGS bailed both of us out and we headed to our new foster homes. There are advantages of being an older dog, I already am potty trained, crate trained (I do have free roam of the house) and I only chew doggie toys. I do not jump on people and I do enjoy looking out the window from time to time. I suppose you can say I am a well-mannered, large dog, wise in my doggie years and very calm. I am good with dogs of all sizes but I do prefer older dogs or less active ones. (Remember, I'm a senior and those young, crazy ones can be a bit much for me). Due to my past history, which is mostly unknown, and age, I do have arthritis so I am taking medication to ease the pain. Other than that, I am in perfect health for a senior dog. My foster mom is teaching me some tricks (shake -- you're never too old to teach a dog new tricks) My favorite thing to do is sit on the couch where we watch animal planet while you give me belly rubs. I love my doggie bed where I can nap all day until my foster mom comes home. I enjoy walks; I do pull a little so my foster mom is teaching leash manners. I'm just so excited to see the what my new neighborhood has to offer. I do great on car rides too, I enjoy putting my head out of the window where the breeze flaps through my jowls. I eventually lay down and dream of my new family. Overall, I am perfect companion for someone who wants a senior dog. Are you my fur ever home?
