Big Mac's Story...
Big Mac is a big boy with a big, big heart just like his friend Jumbo Jack. Big Mac is totally interested in people and is good with kids. He is a super fun dog. The volunteers say that he is sweet, loving and mellow. He loves to get rubbed on his back and will give kisses. He has an amazing personality. He is so happy about life and is eager to do just about anything. Since he is so big, he will need training and he does have an energetic side so an active lifestyle would be best. Big Mac is 5 years old and has been at the shelter since June 17. He’s a volunteer favorite. A402735

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Big Mac, a Santa Maria Mastiff/Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Mastiff/Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Santa Maria, or seeking a Mastiff/Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Santa Maria.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Santa Maria already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Santa Maria breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Mastiff/Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Mastiff/Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Santa Maria paves the way for another one to be saved.
