Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Mateo showed up in the backyard of a wonderful family and was lucky enough to have them take him in and have him vetted. They kept him safe and looked all over their neighborhood for his owner. They put up signs and advertised on social media because he was so outgoing and friendly that he obviously had a home, but as is so often the case, no one claimed him. These kind people then looked for a rescue group to take him, as they already had a house full of rescue animals. Furry Friends is eager to help folks who are part of the solution if they have room and that's how Mateo entered their foster/adoption program. He is a super cool cat with spotted tabby markings. He was a bit shy for a couple of days after entering his foster home which is normal because it is just a hair short of a zoo, but after he got used to the barking dogs and Indianapolis 500 kittens, he came out and about and even began playing with the other cats. He is vet aged at only four months which if correct, means he is going to be a HUGE cat. He looks now like he is in the 10-month to year range in size so it will be fun to adopt him and see if he keeps growing or not. Do not adopt him if you want a small cat, though, as he already is not small and potentially could be very large. Mateo can't tell us where he came from or why he ended up homeless and begging on the street, but one thing is for certain, he is a very lucky cat and will make a wonderful addition to a lucky family. If you can give this beautiful boy a forever home, fill out an application and adopt him today! Mateo is magnificent!
