From foster mom on 11/30/16 - Barron is a super sweet, happy and playful pup. He is very affectionate and loves to snuggle. If you give him any attention he will lean towards you and snuggle up for some pets and love.
Barron gets along great with my dog and my other foster dog. I took him to dog parks and no problems with male, female, big or small dogs. Absolutely no negative behavior when my dog goes for his treat, toy, food or food bowl. I can take food or bones right out his mouth. He just walks away if my dog is near his food or treats. He is a gentleman and will let other dogs drink water first and patiently waits his turn.
Barron is obedient and eager to please. He will sit for treats and takes treats very nicely as he is very food motivated. He is housetrained and crate trained. We haven’t been crating him and he has free range of the house. Barron is easy to bathe and great in the car. His favorite pastime is sitting on the steps, looking out the window. He is calm and quiet in the house. He loves to play fetch and will bring the ball right back, but may not give the ball up easily unless I am holding another one.
I took him to several adoption events, unfortunately Barron does not show well at events. Barron is a “leash reactive dog”. He ignore other dogs and prefers to sniff around during walks, but will growl and bark if another dog comes near him. He is fine after proper introduction - he does not have any problems walking with my dog. He is good meeting other dogs off leash at the park, letting dogs sniff him or even get close to his face.
I took him to Thanksgiving dinner with me with over 25+ people, ranging from 2 to 90 years old. He did great! No problems greeting and meeting new people. He was very calm and well behaved, even with kids screaming and running around. Initially he wanted to go downstairs to the basement or upstairs but with a simple “ack ack”, he did not try again.
Barron is as sweet as they come. Everybody that meets him likes him, being handsome and cute doesn’t hurt either. Although listed as a bulldog, he does not slobber. He will make a great family dog or companion. Please consider giving him a loving and forever home.
Barron will be a Winter Wonderland at the Sussex County Fairgrounds on 12/10/16 from 11-3 and will occasionally be at Roxbury Mall during the weekends.
