My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

TRACE is a 4 year old neutered black male Lab who weighs 75 pounds. He is a four year old boy whose endearing personality make it hard to correct him- nothing terribly egregious, just whacky kid stuff from being out of ‘stir’ for 24 hours. He definitely has the smarts to learn since he figured out the dog door in one lesson. He is kind of hard to photograph right now since he is enjoying his freedom and the companionship of people, so he’s either running or right up against me. He is sort of interested in toys, but more interested in who is throwing them. He was terrific for the two hour ride to freedom and very well behaved in the vet’s lobby, despite a very busy time of day. Don’t miss out on Trace; as he says, “Ladies Love Country Boys”- Trace is good with other dogs - no cat history. Trace is approved for kids ages 10+.

Update: Trace is doing great in his foster home. He is fine with the cats and even met the guinea pig with no issues. Trace is very much a people dog. He loves to be near people and being loved on. When he isn't getting the lovins he wants, he gives you his paw. Shake seems to be the only command he knows lol. He likes to give kisses and snuggle up next to you. He even figured out how to jump on the big bed so he can be close to the humans. He gets along great with both male and female dogs and ignores the house cats. He's an extremely sweet dog and just wants to be loved and near you.

Update: “NO!!! Not rain again! I (Trace for those of you who don’t recognize this striking profile) am sick of this wet stuff- ever since I got out of stir, I have had one- count it, ONE!, sunny day. Yes, as you can see, I am perfectly well behaved inside, sitting or lying down to chill, but it sure would be nice to go out and get some fresh air every now and then. For those of you who missed my grand entrance, I am a very good four year old boy who likes other dogs, although I will bark back if one swears at me. I haven’t gotten into anything in the dog apartment, except for a few toys and I am pretty swift on the uptake when learning new things. I haven’t spent much time on a leash so I kind of weave, although I don’t stop to read pee-mail every step, and I do like to give a few tips about driving in the car, but other than that I am pretty perfect, although the lady who feeds us says I am sometimes a little exuberant- whatever that is- when I first see her. So, I will just chill down here in RVA until you get your act together and contact your AC to ask about Trace (160364).
