Important Note

Pepper is best friends with Malia. Please adopt both of them so they can stay together!
Little Pepper is one of the sweetest dogs we have had come through our rescue. Pepper came from a terrible hoarding situation almost full term pregnant. She had her pups one week later, in a new scary environment (they had never set foot out of their "owner's" small house). She was the BEST mama. Through it all, she has never shown one bit of aggression and has learned that humans aren't so bad once you get to know them. She is still skittish and scared of new people but she has blossomed into a happy little dog that follows us around looking for attention (although she doesn't have much of a clue what to do with that attention when she gets it). After her puppies were adopted, we reunited her with another little female, Malia, from the same hoarding situation and they are stuck together like glue, each helping the other to overcome their fears. We believe Pepper to be Malia's mother. We would like to see them adopted together, if possible. Pepper is getting groomed this week and has an upcoming appointment for her spay, vaccinations and chip. We believer her to be 1-2 years old.

About One by One Pet Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

The Carolina Dog Rescue and Conservation Project was created to protect the free-ranging Carolina Dog.

We have several pervasive goals

1.Provide a hub for prospective adoptive families to find Carolina Dogs in need of homes

2.Locate populations of free-ranging Carolina Dogs in the Americas

3.Raise awareness and educate the public about these rare and elusive native dogs.

We have a beautiful 10 acre facility in Caldwell, TX dedicated to the rehabilitation and preservation of Carolina Dogs and other primitive breeds.

Our Adoption Process...

We require a contract as well as an adoption fee and screening. A fenced yard and exercise is a must.
