Cookie's Story...
HI, my name is Cookie and I'd love to be your dog! I like to play a little hard to get at first, but if you let me take a few minutes, I love to come to you for pets and rubs. I used to just be used to make puppies and more puppies, and chase people away from my old owner's house. I sure like my foster home better, where I have learned what it is like just to be a house pet. It is so much nicer sleeping on the bottom shelf of the bookcase in my foster mom's bedroom than on the end of a chain in the desert. I am curious and smart and I learn things quickly. I'm not very good with animals smaller than I am, but I am behaving very well on a leash and with the large dogs at my foster house. I really like my foster mom's ten year old grandson, although I guess I tend to be a little protective of him yet, because these people are NICE! I must take care of them. I don't think I should be around small children, because I don't like unpredictability or sudden things to happen.

I love feeling safe, whether it is in a yard or on a leash with a trusted person holding on to me. Rolling in the grass is so much fun!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cookie, a Phoenix Australian Cattle Dog/Dalmatian dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog/Dalmatian for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog/Dalmatian dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog/Dalmatian breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog/Dalmatian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
