Nixon's Story...
Hey there! My name is Nixon! I was surrendered from a very nice young lady who found my siblings and I at about 3 weeks of age. She had kept us, took care of us (there were more, but they all found homes!) and tried to find us homes and she ended up bringing us here. I am about 3 1/2 months old and in typical puppy fashion, I am full of life and energy. I am believed to be a Shepard mix of some kind. I am a bit shy, but quickly come out of my shell. I have lived with cats and I love stuffed animals!! I haven't been here very long so the girls cant really tell you much more about me. But keep checking up on me! I am sure there will lots of neat things to learn about me!! Hope to see you soon!

Nixon has been waiting for a new loving home since August 13, 2008. To meet Nixon or any of the other amazing animals looking for new loving homes please visit our adoption centre at 6220 - 50 Ave, Cold Lake during our adoption/viewing hours (Tuesdays to Fridays 2 - 4:30 and Saturdays & Sundays 1 - 4:30).

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nixon, a Cold Lake German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Cold Lake, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Cold Lake.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cold Lake already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cold Lake breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cold Lake paves the way for another one to be saved.
