Gladys's Story...
Gladys is Susan's kitten. She is very outgoing, playful and full of energy. She was abandoned along with her mom in the parking lot of a local vet clinic near a very busy street. Sunshine Rescue trapped her mom and brought them both into Petsmart in San Leandro. They are very bonded to each other and we will be adopting them out as a pair. Susan calls to Gladys to make sure she doesn't stray too far away. Gladys loves her mom so much and they both play together, groom each other and are inseperable! Susan is scared of dogs so their new home must be dog free.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gladys, a San Leandro Domestic Longhair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in San Leandro, or seeking a Domestic Longhair kitten from a breeder in San Leandro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Leandro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Leandro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Leandro paves the way for another one to be saved.
