Minnie, a sweet little 38 pound Pit mix, entered our shelter on 6/21/16. At only 10 months old, she's had a rough start in life. She was picked up as a stray with a prolapsed rectum, parasite infestation, and whip tail. (Whip tail is also known as 'happy tail.')
Now that she is healthy and has been spayed, she is so happy she can't stop wagging her tail nub! (Her long, damaged tail had to be docked in order for it to heal properly.) Minnie is totally ready to be adopted and move into her forever home now. And boy is she READY! She is a TOTALLY ADOREABLE girl, super friendly, and learning to walk well on a leash.
Minnie did very well at her first adoption event at the Wintergreen Craft Fair on July 2nd. She traveled great in a crate on the van - calm & blissfully quiet. She was very active at the event and wanted to play with the other dogs. Her handler helped her work on her manners and she is very focused on training - a very smart girl! Minnie is a diamond of a little dog. You really need to come and meet her!
