Lewis's Story...
Hello there, my name is Lewis. What's yours? (My foster mommy taught me to be polite hehe). When I was just a tiny baby my siblings and I were taken to the county shelter. Luckily our foster mommy came and got us out of there. Since we were so little and without a fur mommy she had to bottle feed us. But that made us extra sweet and loving! Did you know bottle fed babies are some of the sweetest you'll ever find? im no exception! I hope that because I'm black I won't have a harder time finding a home, were usually the last to be picked. I promise you'll love me though! Just me a chance. If you happen to have room in your home and heart for two I would love a home with one of my siblings. If not I hope you already have a kitty at home who needs a buddy. Love, Lewis

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lewis, a Tampa Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Tampa, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Tampa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tampa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tampa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tampa paves the way for another one to be saved.
