Are you looking for a really unique family dog with a lot of love to offer? Minnie is a unique mix of Pitbull and Xoloitzquintli (Mexican Hairless Dog). This 14 month old girl is very pretty and LOVES children. She has a smooth, short coat in tan, with white chest. She is spayed, up to date on shots and housetrained.

Minnie is good with older children (8 and up) and is very affectionate, playful and devoted. Minnie is not a barker and is very loving and funny. She loves belly rubs and gives the best kisses. She is filled with joy and makes every member of the family feel special.

Minnie is a rescue dog. She was found by her owners in Mexico and brought to the US in hopes of finding her the home she needs and deserves.

Because of her background trying to survive on the streets of Mexico, Minnie is nervous when it comes to other dogs. She is also not the best pet for a home with cats.

Her current environment is not a good one, because there are so many other dogs in the immediate vicinity – walking past the windows and in nearby yards. These dogs bark at her, which makes her very uncomfortable and nervous. She really needs a home where this will not be an issue.

Ideally, Minnie would do best in a country setting with a family who have no other dogs or cats in the home. She is really smart, loving and pretty little girl with a lot to offer the right home.

To offer Minnie the home she needs and deserves, please fill out our online information form. Once your information has been received and reviewed, we will contact you to arrange a time for you to meet Minnie with her owner.

About Santa Cruz Find My Pet A Home

About Our Rescue Group...

In many locations throughout the USA and Canada, shelters are rescues are filled to capacity, leaving pet owners who can no longer care for their pet with nowhere to turn. Many pets are needlessly being euthanized.

Being placed in a shelter is a very stressful experience for all pets - and their owners. We offer a very good alternative, allowing pets to stay in the loving care of their owners while a new home is located for them.

We have helped many pet owners in need to place their pet in a home where they have great peace of mind in knowing that their pet is being cherished, well cared for and kept safe, happy and healthy.

Come Meet Our Pets...

In most instances, our pets stay with their owners until a new home can be located. There are some situations which require a more urgent placement, and in these instances, we look for loving foster homes to care for these pets until a permanent home can be located.

Pets available for adoption can be viewed on our website at http://findmypetahome.com/santa-cruz-pet-rehoming-service/

Our Adoption Process...

When a pet is placed with our organization, our staff create a very honest and compelling adoption story about the pet, using the information provided to us.

We then spread the word about this pet's need for a new home through a wide variety of online services, and through local outreach.

Interested parties are directed to fill out a formal request to meet a pet, providing in-depth information about themselves.

Before a potential adopter is introduced to a pet, we do careful reference screening and a criminal records check.

Should the pet's owner and the adoptive party agree to an adoption, a formal agreement is entered into, requiring the new owner to agree to keep in touch, ensure the pet's physical and emotional well-being, and provide a safe, happy and healthy home.

They are required to agree that they will not surrender the pet to a shelter or give away the pet - but rather they are to contact our organization so that we can find another suitable home, in the event that they are unable to fulfill their commitment.

The owners deliver the pet to the new owners, so that they can do a home inspection prior to leaving the pet in the new owner's care.

Our organization provides follow-up services, contacting the new owners after the first week, and then every 45 days for the first nine months post-adoption. This helps ensure the pet is being well cared for, and that the new owners have any support they need in adjusting to life with their new companion,
