Oscar's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Oscar's Story...
Hi, I am Oscar...I am a very distinguished young man that loves almost everyone. I am a little snooty but if I think you are worthy of my affection I will give it to you. I am around 8ish and I weigh 13 Pounds!!!

I was dumped at a High Kill Shelter in SC looking pretty rough and I also had Heartworms and bad teeth...well all that is now fixed. I have undergone heartworm treatment and I am about to get a dental to make my teefies all shiny and sparkling.

I am completely vetted and up to date on all of my shots!

I would like a quiet mature home to live. You may have children but they need to be like the children I currently live with. Calm and well mannered and loving. So they should be at least 12 years old. No little screaming banshees as my nerves can't take it.

I am house trained, crate trained and I have exceptional leash manners. I also know how to use a doggy door.

Car rides and walks are awesome. But you want to know how you can win my heart? Snakes, I love stuffed Snakes as toys...I will prance around the yard carrying my snake all over the place. I love the,...I have several snakes in some pretty awesome colors. I am a hoarder of toys...I will gather them all and bring them to my crate or my bed...I will lay on them and growl at them too...I talk to my toys...I mean who doesn't?

I get along with most dogs, but I prefer my humans...not too crazy about playing with other dogs, i would rather just walk around with my toys and lay with my long as the other dogs do not bother me while I play with my stuff i am golden...Everyone thinks I was raised as an only dog and that is why I like to play alone. But I can snuggle with other dogs too if I have to. I live with two Queen Puggles...and sometimes they even sit on me...I let them...

So, recap---calm house, mature parents, no screaming kids, fenced yard as I love to lay int he sun and plenty of walks and car rides...:)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Oscar, a Greenville Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Greenville, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Greenville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Greenville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Greenville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Greenville paves the way for another one to be saved.
