Red's Story...

If you're interested in adopting red, please complete our adoption application on our website at

Red is a gorgeous 3 year old male looking for some loving. He is an easy going guy and knows basic commands. Red is housetrained and crate trained. He has done well with other dogs and so far has been unreactive to cats. When he has been left uncrated in the house he has not been destructive at all. Red is active and enjoys play, walks and sniffing around. Since he is a younger guy he will require some type of regular exercise and mental stimulation to occupy his natural inquisitiveness. Red is fostered in Troy Ohio but transport can possibly be arranged to help get him to his forever home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Red, a Simcoe Bloodhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bloodhound for sale in Simcoe, or seeking a Bloodhound dog from a breeder in Simcoe.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Simcoe already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Simcoe breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bloodhound breeders who help with Bloodhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Simcoe paves the way for another one to be saved.
