Meet Griffin, he is a Springer mix (we think his other part is Lab); he is 4 ½ years old and weighs 75 pounds. Griffin is a great companion dog and would do great with a family with lots of space to run. His current owners moved to an apartment and with a new baby, can’t give Griffin the attention that he needs. He is housetrained, sleeps in his crate, loves to ride in cars and doesn’t run away when let outside, but stays in his yard. Griffin also loves to swim. Griffin is a sometimes a very timid and anxious dog; he can be known to guard his space when visitors come over. It’s just a fear that he has with new people in his environment and he has always been this way since a young puppy. He is scared of loud noises and hides in his crate (apartment living isn’t the best for this). Griffin would do well in a home with older children, not young children and babies. Their spontaneous movements make Griffin very anxious. The current owners would really like to find Griffin a new good home with a yard and someone who can give him the love and attention he needs.
